Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is seeking an Associate Asset Manager or Asset Manager I who will report to the supervising Asset Manager. Salary range $45,699 to $68,548. Title and salary will depend on experience. TNDC, a non-profit corporation, has a rental housing portfolio of 1,800 units in 21 mid-rise properties located in the Tenderloin, South of Market and Lower Haight neighborhoods of San Francisco. Five additional properties are in acquisition stage.
Asset Management monitors financial and physical performance of the rental housing portfolio to identify opportunities for cost savings, income enhancements or operational improvements. We find problems and propose solutions. We manage resources for which the owner, rather than the property management division, is responsible: reserves, net cash, insurance. TNDC acquires properties for construction or renovation in the course of which Asset Management makes input to acquisition decisions, design development and long-term capital planning.
The position participates in discussions of high organization-wide importance with many levels of the organization, including senior management. There is exposure to many issues with many opportunities for creative problem solving. This is a very good job for career advancement in real estate.
Playing this role at TNDC, you can participate in constructive efforts to stem rental housing inflation and the displacement of low-income people.
