Startup team in the San Jose area working on an exciting idea is looking for a hands-on CTO-level internet engineering expert to join our team in building a revolutionary content, media and communications platform and community.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about joining a very early stage startup ??????? possibly as a co-founder, and is excited about working with highly-motivated entrepreneurs. The person will need to be financially stable to support themselves during the initial phase - and willing and able to work for equity.

The individual we are looking for has preferably worked in an engineering leadership role in a Web 2.0/Media/Social Networking company. Candidates should have a solid understanding of and hands-on experience in successfully implementing the latest consumer Web 2.0 internet broadcasting technologies. We are looking for the following skills:

- Excellent understanding of Video, Flash Action Script and Flash players
- Hands-on experience with AJAX, PHP, Ruby and/or Java, MySQL, LAMP
- Experience in developing high-volume consumer web & mobile applications
- Knowledge of search algorithms, mobile technology, and artificial intelligence
- Ability to provide technology leadership as team grows
- Facebook and OpenSocial API experience a plus
- Ability to think out-of-the-box is critical
