Luckily I got 3 weeks vacation in Dec-Jan this year and i will be gone from 17th dec-8th Jan ( can do +/- 1 day change) 
I am planning to sublet my room which is big, 12 x 14ft, furnished with a bed/mattress & desk/chair, with a one wall as a bay window overlooking the street with a magnificent oak tree. comes with a full personal bathroom with 24 hr hot water supply, a bonus storage room which is as big as the small rooms you must be looking at right now and a walk-in closet. So all-in-all a great deal.Also you have your personal wall heater which you control for your own room . You can understand by the fact that when I looked at this place I signed the lease the same day, 1 and half month before moving in.

BEST OFFER right now- 650$ and thats including all utilities, washer and dryer downstairs and full use of kitchen and living room ( which you share with 2 more stanford students/postdocs).One is an EE grad and other one post-doc in anthropology.

Exact address is 800 cowper street and in plain terms it is 3 blocks from uni avenue and all the restaurants/atms/doctors/shops and 3+4 =7 blocks from palo alto transit center (= caltrain to sf/sjose/anywhere).

I work at stanford medical campus and its a 2 mile bike ride which includes biking on palm drive which I (chances are high you as well) love to bike on and its a sweet 9-10 min bike ride with stops/red lights/crazy drivers included.

Requirement: Be cool with the other roommates (they are pretty chill), and landlords (equally cool) and NON-SMOKER ( not my rule, landlords.. :-( )
